Prudhoe Town Fair
We were very fortunate to have a stall at a local fair in Prudhoe. We decided this year to do a tombola which featured mainly toiletries and chocolates with a few other goodies thrown in. All of our gifts were donated so a massive thank you to all the people who kindly gave us things to use! My mum spent a lot of time making the smaller toiletries look gorgeous by creating small animals out of face cloths and packing them up in cellophane to make little hampers. We had a whole range of prizes - even a Ted Baker set worth £45! My carer, Clair, kindly baked an amazing chocolate cake which we raffled off too. We had our boxes on display and Danielles fantastic candles. We raised a wonderful £105 with £10 extra for a box sponsor and £7 for the cake raffle, so £122 in total. This will fund 22 boxes for parents who are looking after their poorly child in hospital over Christmas. A big thank you to all who donated gifts, my mum for the preparation and help with the stall, Danielle for being an absolute star and doing so much hard work and helping all day, Jaki for volunteering with us for the first time for an hour, Clair for the cake, the organisers of the fair for having us and everyone who came to the stall for your donations!
